WATER UPDATE FROM THE MAYOR:
Good Evening Blanco Residents
I have been monitoring the water delivery situation continually and I'm afraid I don't have much information at this time.
The City tanks are currently full but the tank that supplies the City (Stallion Tank) is still struggling to keep up with demand. This is Texas Water's tank that supplies Blanco.
Our water supplier has had screen filter malfunctions which they are still working on. Clearly, what they are producing is barely keeping up, even under emergency restrictions.
We don't know what the exact problem is with the filter, or how long it will take to be fixed.
The length of time for these processes to be fixed is unknown but Texas Water is working on these issues and City staff is monitoring the situation.
On a related note, today I took the unfortunate but necessary step and asked the City Administrator to temporarily stop the water usage of Laser Car Wash to ensure that we have an adequate supply for all residents. This is necessary at this point.
Folks, we've made it through worst together, and we'll get through this. Thank you for being mindful of your water usage as we endure these temporary restrictions.
