Heat.gov & Blue Address Sign Update

7/28/2022

The National Integrated Heat Health Information System recently launched Heat.gov which serves as the premier source of information regarding heat and health for the nation. This website will also help decision-makers and the public understand and reduce the health risks of extreme heat.

The blue address signs that assist Fire, EMS, and Police in finding your home in an emergency are currently free. The Blanco County Commissioners Court recently approved an order setting the fees for the blue address signs. Starting on Oct. 1, 2022, these signs will no longer be free.

The fees for the address signs are as follows:
The cost of each address sign that is picked up in-house shall be $15.00.
The cost of each address sign that is sent via USPS shall be $20.00.

Accepted methods of payment are cash, check, cashiers check or money order. Electronic payments or credit card payments are not accepted.
Payment will be due before the sign will be released.
