Mayor Update: Bindseil Park Reservations and Brush Disposal Update

4/21/2022

Bindseil Park Reservations

Ronald and Viola Bindseil City Park (aka Bindseil Park) is a small, tree-shaded public park offering picnic areas, benches, and a quarter-mile accessible trail located next to Blanco City Hall. Keep Blanco Beautiful’s Beautification Committee helps water and maintain the plants around the park on Tuesday mornings, weather permitting. Currently, the park is free for event rentals, but interested parties must reserve the park in advance. The reasoning behind this is so that the park is not double-booked and it also provides City Staff and KBB an opportunity to clean up the park before the event. To make a reservation, please swing by City Hall (300 Pecan St.) or call the office at 830-833-4525. A calendar for events at Bindseil Park is available on our website under the Parks department page if you wish to see if the day for your planned event is open. Once your event is approved, you will see it added to the calendar. Residents can also follow this link to the calendar: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=c_iusmienqd0ni6jl5cksbe92mus%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America%2FChicago During your event, please make sure to “leave no trace” and dispose of all litter properly. Reserve Bindseil Park for your event today!

Brush Disposal Update

At this time, the City will not be accepting brush disposal. The yard is currently at capacity and the burn ban is enacted until noon on April 26, 2022. This being said, we are unable to burn the brush at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and will let citizens know when they can begin dropping off brush again.
